We are looking for a Production Manager in Romania for our client, a producer of components, mechanical assemblies, and tools for various industries. The local production site is located in Baia Mare, Maramureș.


THE ROLE



We are looking for a Production Manager to lead the production activities of an industrial company currently undergoing a phase of operational transformation. The role comes in the context of a clear objective to improve productivity, operational visibility, and overall production performance.


The company operates a high-volume production environment, combining both manual and automated processes, and is currently implementing various development initiatives.


The ideal candidate has strong operational know-how, leadership capabilities, and a proactive mindset, able to bring structure, new ideas, and a more modern approach to production management.


Main responsibilities

Coordinating the day-to-day production activities and ensuring efficient operational execution;
Monitoring and improving productivity indicators and overall operational performance;
Increasing visibility and transparency over production activities through clear and structured reporting towards management;
Developing and improving the production systems, workflows, and operational structures;
Leading and coordinating the production teams, including team leaders and shift leaders;
Identifying operational bottlenecks and implementing improvement actions;
Supporting the implementation of digitalization projects, new equipment, and new assembly lines;
Collaborating closely with supporting departments to ensure production continuity and operational efficiency;
Managing technical changes and ensuring proper material availability for production needs;
Ensuring compliance with quality standards, internal procedures, health & safety, and operational requirements;
Contributing to the development of a performance-oriented and accountable production culture;
Driving continuous improvement initiatives and more structured production processes focused on productivity, workflow optimization, and operational discipline.


INTERNAL STRUCTURE



The future Production Manager will report to the local General Manager, will manage the department and will closely collaborate with other stakeholders, as needed. The position is based in Baia Mare, Maramureș.


THE CANDIDATE



Requirements

Min. 5 years of experience in coordinating production activities and leading operational teams;
Background in a mass production industry (automotive or other similar high-volume manufacturing industries);
Strong understanding of production processes and operational KPIs;
Proactive mindset and ability to bring new ideas and perspectives;
Good communication, leadership, and people management skills;
Structured, solution-oriented, and hands-on approach;
Exposure to automation and or digitalization projects represents an advantage;
University degree in a relevant field;
Native Romanian, fluent business English.
